Founder and Consultant of Veylora
I specialize in crisis management, business continuity, and program development, with a strong foundation in risk assessment, community development, data analysis, and process optimization. My experience spans nonprofit and government sectors, where I have designed and implemented programs that ensure impact while reducing inefficiencies. I employ best practices of project management, group facilitation, design thinking, and Business Process Management (BPM) in my approaches. My analytical background includes working with large-scale datasets to inform financial and strategic decision-making.
My credentials reinforce my expertise in disaster management, development, and business continuity. I hold an MS in Disaster Science and Management and a BA in International Studies with a specialization in Political Science. I am a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and hold an ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management certification.
As a US Marine Corps veteran with more than thirteen years working in crises, I have developed the ability to operate in high-pressure environments, coordinate multi-agency responses, and build resilience strategies that prioritize efficiency and effectiveness. I have extensive field experience, having responded to or supporting over 100 home fires and major disasters in the US, including Super Storm Sandy, Hurricane Irma, the Oso Mudslide, Hurricane Harvey (Recovery), Hurricane Ida (Recovery), as well as international crises such as Gaza (Pier Coordination Response).
Currently, I am building a consulting firm that helps organizations worldwide enhance disaster resilience, risk mitigation, and maximize their limited funds. I work with businesses, nonprofits, and governments to prepare for disruptions—whether caused by economic shifts, federal policy changes, or global crises. With a strong belief in sustainability, community-led solutions, data-driven strategy, and operational resilience, I help organizations navigate uncertainty with strategic foresight.
